Hello Legionnaires!
We are getting close to the Alpha release, which is scheduled to debut at LegionsCon 2024! For those of you who backed the game, we will release the Alpha to you right before LegionsCon weekend. Right now, we are color correcting, sound mixing, finishing off the skills, and completing the battles. There are only ten left to finish off for Xylona's Flock!
We are pleased to announce the release of the official soundtrack for the game! Again, if you backed the game itself, you will receive a link to the soundtrack via Backerkit shortly. It's a great companion when customizing your figs, making social videos, or having a romantic Saturday night. Download and enjoy!
We're also finishing off the Goblin and Dwarf characters and will have them added to the Character Customizer soon. In the meantime, here are some still shots from the game (NOTE: the colors are not corrected and are coming off as "warm". This will be fixed for the Alpha).

Mythic Legions Tactics Roadmap to Alpha & Beta Release
Hello Legionnaires!
We have an exciting update on the roadmap to release that includes both the game itself and the other digital content you backed during the campaign. Thank you for your patience during this entire process, as we've had to navigate through some significant issues, but we are on a good path to have the single-story Alpha version of the game in your hands in time for Legions Con 2024 (mid-November).
Below is our content rollout schedule for the next few months. Please let us know if you have any questions, and we will be providing more timely updates in the coming months to keep you informed.
Also, as a reminder, the Digital Character Customizer is available to you now. You can access it using the link below. You must enter the email that was used to back the campaign. If you receive an error message at login, you may need to reset your password first.
October - Release of the Mythic Legions Tactics Digital Art Book!
Explore the artistic vision for translating the popular toy line into a video game. Taking readers on a deep dive into the development of the world of Mythoss, the digital art book is filled with concept art of characters, weapons, armor, and both familiar and never seen before locations. Readers will get an exclusive look at the stunning artwork and early visual concept design that helped bring the iconic characters of Xylona’s Flock, Legion of Arethyr, Army of Leodysseus, and others to life. Backers who purchased this reward will be sent access to the downloadable art book via Backer Kit.
October - Release of the Mythic Legions Tactics Soundtrack!
All the music included in the game is now yours! Original music was composed exclusively for Mythic Legions Tactics by an industry-leading composer and live orchestra. Get all the feels of Mythoss as you explore the 30+ tracks that provide the background mood music for the game. Backers who purchased this reward will be sent access to the file via Backer Kit.
November - Alpha Release of the Single Player Storyline for Legions Con!
Be the first to play through the complete storyline of Xylona’s Flock as you race to hunt down Gorgo and the Legion of Arethyr army to win back the coveted Aetherblade before it reaches the Aetherhold! Customize your war party and begin your quest with 90+ battles, pre-rendered story scenes, and in-game animated story scenes. The Alpha stage will be PC only and mobile formatting will be done after Beta release. However, if you originally purchased the game for mobile, we will also grant you PC or Mac access. This reward will be distributed via Backer Kit.
January - Beta release of the Single Player Storyline!
New characters and new Legions added! Army of Leodysseus and Legion of Arethyr join the fray. Now, you can battle your way through Mythoss as a Legion of Light or a Legion of Dark to win the race for the Aetherblade and return the world to order (depending on your point of view of course). Battle count now reaches 270, along with full story scenes, new character classes and skills, and the added Dwarf lineage will be introduced!
The Beta stage will be PC only, as mobile formatting will be done after Beta release. However, if you originally purchased the game for mobile, we will also grant you PC or Mac access.
Following Beta release, we will work with a distribution partner to release the game to the mass audience. During this time, we will continue to add characters and other updates and format the game for mobile and XBox platforms. This reward will be distributed via Backer Kit.
Q1 2025 - Mobile and Xbox release
The mobile and platform release comes a bit later than desktop in case we need to make any adjustments in the Beta stage once people are playing through the levels as different Legions. Once we QC the Beta and it's ready, we will move to IOS/Android and XBox release.

Mythic Legions Tactics 1st Release: Character Customizer Alpha Build!

We know it's been a moment...or 2...or 3...but the important thing is that we are releasing our 1st build for Mythic Legions Tactics: War of the Aetherblade - the Character Customizer Alpha! This is a web-based release so you can access the Character Customizer right from your PC or MAC (due to size you won't be able to use it on mobile right now). We're very excited to invite you in to experience the Alpha Build so you can begin creating your band of Mythic Legions characters!
Why are we calling it an Alpha Build? Well, it's still not totally finished. We will be adding more features in the coming weeks as rolling updates. Right now we're in "goldfish mode" - as in anything you create will not be saved.
Soon we will have a "Create Account" feature so you will be able to save the creations you make. But feel free to take pictures or screen grabs and share out on social. Just tag us @mythiclegionsgames and use #mythiclegionstactics so we can check them out and golf clap (judgment-free zone!) This being an Alpha you might even encounter a bug or 2 when playing around with the features, and if so, we want to hear about it. Please email us at [email protected]. Feedback helps!
Once the home screen launches, click on the "Customize" button on one of the characters...
Choose a Lineage...
Select Armor, Weapons, and customize your body features...
At any time use the Color Wheel selector to change the main or accent colors of the different armors or weapons you choose. As the legendary Prince said...Let's go crazy! Let's get nuts!
When finished...rinse & repeat!
Quick Tips:
Depending on bandwidth and internet speeds load time can vary. Give it a sec...
Use the "Cell Shading" toggle in the upper right to turn the shader on for a more animated look, or off for a more realistic look.
A selection may freeze for a moment. Just remember this is an Alpha so you might have to back out a step or rerack your selection. Especially at times of heavy usage.
We know it's been a long road and our next release will be the Battle Gameplay Alpha. We appreciate you hanging in there and being supportive of indie game development!

Update on Progress of Mythic Legions Tactics!

Hello Legionnaires,
Some of you may have received an email saying your game order is ready for download and to be fulfilled. This email was sent in error. There was a setting on our backend for a March 31st game release notification that was unfortunately not updated, which triggered the email. We are currently targeting LegionsCon 2024 to release the BETA to all backers of the fundraising campaigns.
Quick update we are currently in Alpha stage. We are close to releasing a PC AND MAC web browser-friendly version of the Character Customizer for all to enjoy - and will not require a registration or login. Desktop only, not mobile supported for now.
When we get to BETA, you will be invited in to test the game. It won't be perfect, but you will be given early access to play around.
We will be posting more updates on our Instagram and X channels now that we passed a major milestone in development. Please follow us there if not already doing so. We have decided to focus on these platforms for the moment as that is where the majority of followers are.

Calling All Backers! We’d like to invite you to test drive the Pre-Alpha Version 1 of the Mythic Legions Tactics Character Customizer! Be amongst the first Legionaries to get your hands on this much-anticipated feature of the game. Build your warriors from the ground up by customizing their lineage, armor, weapons, and more!
All of the customizable pieces are directly from the Mythic Legions catalog of toy parts, and you’ll be able to choose different primary, secondary, and accent colors for each. Consider this your Mythic Legions Digital Customization Studio!
We mentioned this is the “Pre-Alpha” build, which in video game speak means we’re not quite finished with it yet. Some parts are still in progress and you will probably find a few things that are off. That's why we want the most knowledgeable Legionnaires to help us work out the bugs. Tell us what’s good, what’s bad, and especially what is broken and needs fixing.

2) Take the time to build out a few different characters all the way through using different lineages - Human, Orc, Elf.
